It's that time of year. Here is how The Internet decides who is on the playoff tree:
Autobid for P5 Conference Champ Champs (as long as bowl eligible)
Autobid for highest ranked G5 Champ (Bowl Eligible)
Remaining Spots filled by highest ranked teams
Teams Reseeded by judging both Elo and Fake Formula
So by following that logic, for the P5 tree, the qualifier are LSU, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahom, Memphis, Oregon, Georgia and Boise State. For the G5 tree, it is App State, Florida Atlantic, Miami (Oh), SMU, Cincinatti, Temple, Hawai'i and Notre Dame (Independent teams are elibile for either tree at large, BYU was on the bubble). Here is how the teams emerged after the resorting (note: G5 ladder will appear soon):

Here are the rules for how teams move up:
- Teams that win move up the ladder, Teams that lose move down. One team per rung.
- A team can never move past a team that defeated it in bowl season.
- Teams that are both rising determine who rises above each other via certain factors:
- A team will rise above a team it beat before b
- Team with fewest losses rises next
- The team with the better record against common opponents rises next
- Team winning percentage against common out of conference conferences next
- Highest Elo
